The Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) and BExcellent Group (BExcellent) signed a Collaborative Agreement to jointly promote the development of quality education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

The signing ceremony was held on 2 June, 2021 at the CYMA Charity Fund Management Development Centre of the HKMA. The agreement was signed by Dr Victor Lee, Executive Director of the HKMA and Dr June Leung, Chairperson of BExcellent.

The HKMA was established in 1960 and is a non-profit-making professional organization dedicated to advancing management excellence in Hong Kong and the Region. BExcellent is a company listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (SEHK: 1775), operating a range of education programmes and services under the “Beacon” brand. The HKMA and BExcellent hope that this collaboration will leverage the advantages and resources of both parties to assist enterprises and institutions in the GBA to enhance their management standards, as well as to nurture exceptional talents for the GBA.

Dr Victor Lee, Executive Director of the HKMA, said: “The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is a major part of China’s national development strategies and one of the strategic priorities of the HKMA. The HKMA is very pleased to work together with BExcellent to further promote the development of management excellence in the GBA while helping companies and institutions in the Area achieve better management as well as cultivate human capital.”

Dr June Leung, Chairperson of BExcellent, pointed out that “The HKMA offers a diverse set of courses and educational services. BExcellent, on the other hand, has more than 30 years of experience in education operations and teacher training. The two parties can join hands in providing high-quality courses and services to people of all ages in the Greater Bay Area. In line with the development trend of ‘integration between industry and education’ in the Mainland, this will surely accelerate the development and progression of the field of education and corporate training in China.”

It is hoped that through this collaboration, the two parties can integrate their respective high-quality educational resources and make a contribution to the development of talents and the advancement of business management in the GBA.
