Being the only award of its kind in Hong Kong in the past three decades, the Award for Excellence in Training and Development, organized by the Training Awards Organizing Committee, People Development Management Committee and People Management Committee of The Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA), has the pleasure to give significant recognition to the human resources development professionals and trainers for their achievement and devotion in cultivating more talents in the business sector.
The Final Judging took place at the HKCEC on 17 August 2022. HKMA had the honour to have Ms Mary Huen, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, Hong Kong and Cluster Chief Executive Officer, Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macau of Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited as the Guest of Honor of the event. Her extensive and profound experience in senior management role has endowed her with holistic vision in developing more talents for human resources sustainability. Ms Huen unveiled the event with a keynote speech on the transformation of the HR role in “talent war” and the opportunities followed. She iterated the importance of an open-minded corporate mindset, capability and culture which are the keys to foster ceaseless learning among the staff, thus, to keep the organizations evolving and surviving in the rapidly changing environment.
