The Hong Kong Management Association Annual Fellowship Dinner cum Hong Kong Sustainability Award 2023 Presentation Ceremony was held successfully at Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel on Tuesday, 14 November 2023. The Honourable Cheuk Wing-hing, Deputy Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region was the Guest of Honour at this joyous occasion.

The Presentation Ceremony of the Hong Kong Sustainability Award 2023 was also held during the occasion. Winners of Organization and Individual Awards were presented with trophies and certificates by Dr Y K Pang, Chairman of the Association; Mr S K Cheong and Prof Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, Deputy Chairmen of the Association; Mr Lincoln Leong, Mr David Fong, Mr Ricky Wong, Dr Allan Zeman, Mr Martin Murray, Mr T K Chiang and Mr Peter Wong, Council Members of the Association; Prof James Thompson, Honorary President.

Fellow and Charter Membership
During the occasion, 13 new Fellow and Charter Memberships were presented. Fellows are individuals who have distinguished themselves in the management field either by example or by contributing towards the general body of theory, philosophy and management practice. The two new Fellows this year are:

Management Development Credit Unit (MDCU) Award
To recognize the achievement of companies in staff training and human resources development, companies were awarded the Management Development Credit Unit (MDCU) Awards. This year, Hong Kong Hospital Authority was awarded The MDCU Largest Sponsor of Staff Members Award and Hong Kong Police Force was awarded The MDCU Largest Sponsor of Training Hours Award.

Hong Kong Sustainability Award 2023 Presentation Ceremony
In view of the rising significance of sustainability, the Association launched the Hong Kong Sustainability Award in October 2016 aiming to raise awareness of the business community of the importance of sustainability, to recognize best practices of sustainability, as well as to give public recognition to organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to sustainability in their operations while achieving good business performance. This year, an Individual Award Category has been launched to honour business leaders and sustainability experts for their contribution to the sustainable development of their organizations and the business community.
