Ms Brenda Li
Regional Human Resources Manager, APAC
BA (Hons) Business Studies / 2022 Graduate

“I decided to pursue a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies with a specialization in HR Management to align with my career aspirations of transforming into an HR professional. I was drawn to the University of Greenwich because I visited its stunning London campus years ago, and Sir Charles Kao was once a student there.

During my one-year study, I was impressed by the lecturers who generously shared their practical experiences and comments to guide us toward achieving our learning goals with a strong focus. It allowed me to gain invaluable learning experiences, like acquiring diverse job simulation experience in different contexts through group projects or individual papers.

In addition, I had a memorable learning experience with a group of supportive companions as we collaborated and celebrated successes together. Being a working adult to study a part-time top-up degree programme was by no means easy, however, it’s fully achievable for most of us and definitely rewarding. The programme also assisted me to integrate the academic knowledge with my previous work experience throughout the journey and gave me inspiration and a shift in mindset.

I was embracing a new version of myself and being more confident and courageous in my career. I am grateful to all lecturers and my classmates for their support that helped me reach for the stars to complete my degree with first-class honours!”
