In Hong Kong and across the world, talents and professionals in these areas are in high demand. The programme aims to provide a comprehensive study and career enhancement opportunities for professionals in understanding the full spectrum of sustainability, ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and green finance. Participants will be equipped with the knowledge of internationally recognized standards and practices, including the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing’s ESG Reporting Guide.

This programme is one of the Eligible Programmes under the Pilot Green and Sustainable Finance Capacity Building Support Scheme .
Eligible applicants may apply for reimbursement of relevant fees upon successful completion of Eligible Programmes, subject to a ceiling of HK$10,000 and other conditions.

A participant who has maintained a minimum of 70% attendance of total lecture hours of each module; AND passed (obtained at least 50%) all the required assessment(s) of each module will be awarded an Executive Diploma in Sustainability, ESG and Green Finance by The Hong Kong Management Association.
Faculty
Professor Emil Chan is a FinTech evangelist, digital transformation consultant and startup mentor with extensive experience encompassing cross-border financial systems design and operations in the banking industry. He has also taught as an adjunct professor and visiting lecturer at various local higher institutions. Resourceful and multifaceted, Professor Chan is the Founding Chairman of the Association of Cloud and Mobile Computing, FinTech Committee Chairman of Smart City Consortium, Hon Chairman of StartHK, Hon Secretary of Invotech, Vice Chairman of HK New Emerging Technology Education Association, Vice Chairman of HK Internet Finance Association, as well as the Convenor of the Institute of Compliance Officers.
Mr Alan Cheung is an experienced practitioner in the field of sustainability for over 20 years. He started his career in the area of sustainability related to the manufacturing sector and supply chain of retailing business. He has also gained substantial exposure in the management and auditing of sustainability related programs, and is actively pursuing the latest knowledge and skills on sustainability. He has also been following closely the HKEx ESG Reporting Guide since 2015.
Mr Conan Lee has a strong background in applying carbon quantification and verification protocol. Since joining SGS in 2010, Conan has been involved in many of the company’s carbon related projects. Over the past 11 years, Conan has successfully helped various organizations establish their carbon inventory, as well as with their products and events. He has been actively engaged in numerous carbon audit or verification projects according to different local or internal verification schemes.
Mr Joe Leung is the Head of Corporate Finance and Responsible Officer of a licensed corporation carrying Type 6 activity under section 126 of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (SFO). He is currently an independent non-executive director of two listed companies in Hong Kong, responsible for risk management and internal control system. In his previous roles, he has been an executive director of a main-board-listed company mainly overseeing the investment functions, structuring capital reorganization and transactions under the Listing Rules. He had also assumed the role of Chief Financial Officers for a number of companies listed in Hong Kong, Korea and company in Initial Public Offering (IPO) in HKEx.
Dr Kenny Siu is the senior advisor of Allied Environmental Consultants Limited. He is one of the ESG pioneers in Hong Kong. Dr Siu obtained a professional diploma in building surveying from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, a master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Australia, and a doctorate degree in economics from Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing Managers and a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Mr Patrick Tsoi is the project leader of the Greater Bay Area Green Finance and ESG forum. He is currently a Doctor of Education candidate in Hong Kong Baptist University. He has 20+ years’ working experience in the IT training area. His work includes complex projects applying data science, and software development to different aspect of value chains as well as participating with research teams, in fields such as Green Finance, Data Science, and Talent Management.
Mr Potin Wong is currently CFO and Company Secretary of a listed company in Hong Kong. He has solid practical experience in ESG, especially in the corporate governance area. He is also proficient in corporate finance, corporate restructuring, investor relations, and media strategy. Mr Wong obtained a master’s degree in corporate governance and compliance from the Hong Kong Baptist University. He is a member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Ms Zonta Yung is the project-in-charge of sustainability solutions at SGS Hong Kong Limited (SGS). She helped SGS develop ESG Reporting Solutions in 2015 and has more than 7 years of experience in managing and executing over 100 ESG reporting projects. These include stakeholder engagement and materiality assessment, ESG reporting tool development, briefing, ESG data review and reporting, etc. She has been sharing her knowledge and experience since 2015 via public and in-house training as well in seminars and through various publications.
