This 45 hour course aims to explore how technology is changing the real estate, property management industry across Hong Kong and Asia Pacific countries. The course is led by a team of experienced industry professionals and includes a practical, entrepreneurial bent with real-world applications.
We will investigate the short- and long-term effects that technology will likely have on residential and commercial real estate and give students the skills necessary to immediately add value for potential employers in the field upon completion of the course. Apart from having industry experts sharing sessions, the course includes deep dive into some leading PropTech companies’ practice and their software, practical case studies, business model analysis, and new venture planning and evaluation.

Satisfactory Completion of a Module/Award
A participant who has:
- maintained a minimum 70% attendance of total lecture hours of each module; AND
- passed each module’s assessment will be awarded an Executive Diploma in Property Technology by The Hong Kong Management Association.
The programme will be delivered in Cantonese and the course material will be in English.

Dr Kenny Siu is the book author of “Roadmap for China New Retail” and “New Retail’s Real Face”. He obtained a professional diploma in building surveying from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, a master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Australia, Australia, and a doctorate degree in economics from Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, China. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing Managers and a professional membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Dr Siu has over 30 years of experience in sales and marketing, project management and consulting services in the real estate industry. He has worked in a number of major real estate developers and has established a local real estate surveying company. He currently serves as a director and consultant, specializing in project financing and development research. Dr Siu was appointed as an independent non-executive director of Unitas Holdings Ltd (stock code: 8020), a listed company. He was also appointed as a visiting professor at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics.
Dr Ernest Lo is a deep-tech designer, visionary and multi-domain trainer specialising in 0 to 1 innovation. He designed the CPD programme for Hong Kong Green Building Council on “Unleashing Buildings with IoT and Analytics” and is currently collaborating with the industry world leader on designing future AI-based HVAC systems. Ernest was a Croucher Fellow at Stanford University and won 3 IEEE R&D awards in Glasgow, Paris, and Houston. In 2010, he founded for Catalunya a Smart City technology R&D branch in Asia. Recently, he received the prestigious AI 2000 Most Influential Scholars Honourable Mention and was ranked 31 globally under the IoT category. Ernest is currently the Founder of Future Impact Lab Limited, President of Hong Kong Internet of Things Alliance, and Advisor of award-winning start-ups in blockchain and social innovations. He also teaches Creativity and Business Innovation at the HKU Business School.
Ms Rainie Pan is the Managing Director of the Hong Kong PropTech Association, an independent, not-for-profit organisation that aims to unite the real estate technology industries and build a collaborative ecosystem by creating awareness, education, advocacy, employment and investment around PropTech. Rainie brings rich knowledge and insights from the area of investment and consulting and entrepreneurship. Rainie has re-joined Oliver Wyman as a Principal in the Digital practice after half a decade of experiences building PropTech and FinTech start-ups. She started her career as a management consultant in New York and has broad experiences advising institutions and start-ups on business transformation and market entry strategies. Rainie is also active in public services and has served as Strategy Advisor to UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network -Youth. Rainie holds an MSc in Global Finance from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology & NYU Stern, USA, and a BMath in Actuarial Science from the University of Waterloo, Canada. She is also a charter holder of CFA and FRM designations.
Ms Novelle Lau is the COO of IP NFT Asia and Business Director of Compliance International Limited. She excels in providing real estate professional & practical advice, including strategy to operations on global market entry and market penetration into the Greater Bay Area. She has 15 years’ working experience in management and the real estate sector and extensive knowledge and understanding about sale and lease in residential & commercial sectors of Hong Kong, Japan, and the Greater Bay Area. Novelle has also worked for number of local real estate developers. She is a frequent speaker on foreign exchange, real estate, and the crypto and blockchain market and has her own YouTube channel especially on foreigner exchange and crypto market topics. Novelle holds a BBA from Birmingham City University, UK, and an Estate Individual Agent’s Licence in Hong Kong.
Mr Kinsen Lee is a data scientist, solution architect, business consulting and project management veteran with more than 20 years of experience in various industry domains. With the ex-Accenture, ex-Jardine, and ex-COO experience in a HK leading marketing SaaS platform, Kinsen contributed to a number of large scale initiatives in digital transformation, A.I., IoT and Smart Living, such as enterprise-wide A.I. solution design and implementation, Smart Living Strategy and Implementation Roadmap Consultancy for major property developer, Advanced Smart Home Planning and Implementation, as well as Turnkey Smart Health solutions architecting and solution provisioning. Kinsen is currently the Managing Director of SparkLink Technology Limited, Vice President of HKIOTA (Hong Kong Internet of Things Alliance), Assessment Panel Member of ESS (Enterprise Support Scheme) by the Innovation and Technology Commission, HKSAR Government, and ERP (Expert Review Panel) member of the Government backed LSCM (Logistics and Supply Chain Management R&D Centre).
Mr Alex Wong is the Managing Director of Axon PropTech Limited. He is dedicated to the construction of smart city, combining AI, big data, cloud computing, Internet of Things and other technology system solutions and operational services. Since Axon was founded, Alex has continuously invested in technological innovation and product research and development, has a first-class R&D team, and has worked closely with other technology companies to establish a collaborative team to build a perfect market network of the company. Its business has gradually penetrated into urban public safety, data centre, transportation, medical, construction and education, providing high quality service to customers in tourism, finance, and other fields.
Mr Patrick Tsoi is the CEO of Sunon Technology HK Limited. He is currently a Doctor of Education candidate in Hong Kong Baptist University. He has 20+ years’ working experience in the IT training area. His work includes complex projects applying data science, and software development to different aspect of value chains as well as participating with research teams, in fields such as Green Finance, Data Science, and PropTech.
