Bourgogne is one of France’s wine making regions. With just 30,000 hectares, it stretches across 230 km from north to south and encompasses five regions. Thanks to its location, climate, and geology, the two key grape varieties of Bourgogne, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, are able to express themselves in very different styles in different regions.
This masterclass takes students through a virtual tour of the five regions of vineyards. Exploring the alchemy that makes Bourgogne unique: natural elements, grape varieties and human expertise. Students will gain an understanding of the hierarchy of appellations of Bourgogne wines.
