Overview

Employers are obliged to provide employees with fair employment opportunities. It is imperative for staff members to have fundamental legal knowledge on statutory requirements of payment of wages, entitlements of different kinds of leaves, the grounds and proper procedures on termination of employment contracts, unreasonable dismissal, and the employers’ liabilities on terminals payments, including but not limited to, severance payment and long service payment, etc.

This workshop will cover common cases on employment issues that participants are likely to encounter. This could be a good reference on the decisions on necessary measures be taken when they are faced with similar situations. It would also help participants avoid complicated and possible situations on litigations when they have a better understanding of the employment regulations and their legal consequences.
