This programme collaborates with AGDP and aims to provide students with a comprehensive overview of dentistry, hands-on experience in various dental procedures, insights into different specialties within the field of dentistry, and the career pathway as a dentist.

UPON COMPLETION OF THE PROGRAMME, STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:

• Gain insight into the work life of a dentist and the roles and responsibilities of dental professionals.
• Understand the basics of dentistry and various dental specialties.
• Acquire knowledge of the dental school application process and alternative pathways to study in dentistry.
• Explore career opportunities and the pathways to become a dentist.

Day 1: Introduction to Dentistry

1. Introduction to Healthcare Industry, Outlook of Dental Care
2. Pathways to Become a Dentist in Hong Kong and Overseas
3. Overview of Different Dental Specialties
4. Sharing session with dentists and dental professionals

Day 2: Seminar and Dentistry Workshop (1)

• Seminar: Importance of Public Health and Oral Hygiene
• Hands-on Activity: Dental Anatomy and Tooth Morphology
• Head and Neck Structure

Day 3: Seminar and Dentistry Workshop (2)

• Seminar: Common Dental Procedures, 3D Scanning and Fillings
• Hands-on Activity: Dental Restorations and Fillings

Day 4: Dental Clinic Visit and Guest Speaker Sharing Session
