Fundraising Strategies for NGOs

Overview

In this session, participants will explore the fundraising landscape in Hong Kong and brainstorm fundraising methods that help provide long term financial sustainability for their NGO. Participants will collaborate, share own data and experiences on fundraising methods to facilitate group learning and discussion. Participants will learn about data-led fundraising, donor segmentation and engagement tactics and fundraising methods.

The session aims to give NGO participants a baseline knowledge from which they can build their own fundraising strategy adapted to their organisation. Participants will learn what works and what does not in terms of donation solicitation. Areas covered will include relevance of traditional methods of fundraising as well as digitalisation of fundraising operations. Participants will obtain a better understanding of international best practices, the how and why established fundraising practices are made to work.
