The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department has put the Hygiene Manager and Hygiene Supervisor Scheme into practice to strengthen food safety supervision in all licensed food premises. All large food premises and other food premises producing high-risk food are necessary to appoint at least one Hygiene Manager and one Hygiene Supervisor.
Upon completion of the course, participants will:
- understand the importance of food hygiene and food safety
- strengthen the safety and hygiene of the food premises and restaurants
- obtain the Hygiene Manager certificate accredited by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department
Executives working in the food and catering industry or people who are aspired to work in this industry.
Participants who achieve attendance of 80% or above and pass the examination will be awarded a Hygiene Manager certificate.
Ms Becky Cheung
Mrs. Becky Cheung is currently a lecturer in The University of Hong Kong and The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She was the Chairlady of International Food Safety Association. With over 30 years in China, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom in food safety and quality systems experience, Mrs.Cheung is currently the CEO of Best Key Food Safety Consultants. It was founded in the United Kingdom in 1991, and was authorised by the UK Food and Environmental Hygiene to train and issue CIEH certifications.
