The Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) commemorated its 65th Anniversary with a special “Connect, Appreciate, and Race Day” event held on Wednesday, 4 June 2025 at The Beat of The Hong Kong Jockey Club. The celebration honored the Association’s legacy while expressing gratitude to key stakeholders for their enduring support. Distinguished guests and members gathered for an evening of networking and camaraderie, fostering deeper connections within the business community.
The event blended lively entertainment with dynamic horse races, creating an engaging atmosphere for attendees. In his opening remarks, Prof Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges GBS JP, Chairman of the Association, reflected on the Association’s remarkable 65-year journey: “Today is all about connection—reconnecting with old friends and making new ones in a relaxed, informal setting. So, let’s embrace the spirit of fun and friendship!” He encouraged attendees to mingle, share stories, and engage with fun facts about the Association’s legacy.
Prof Randy Lai, Chairperson of the HKMA 65th Anniversary Celebration Organizing Committee, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to sponsors, committee members, and attendees for their dedicated support. She highlighted the choice of The Beat as a venue to reflect the Association’s agility and dynamism, noting, “We have many exciting celebrations lined up for the rest of the year, so stay tuned!”
The evening featured a lucky draw with grand prizes sponsored by Prof Engelbrecht-Bresges, Chairman of the Association, and Mr S K Cheong, Deputy Chairman of the Association. Nine exhilarating races anchored the programme, with attendees enjoying a night of celebration that embodied the theme “Connect, Appreciate, and Race.”
The HKMA’s 65th Anniversary Connect, Appreciate, and Race Day underscored the Association’s enduring legacy and its forward-looking vision. As a cornerstone of Hong Kong’s business community, the HKMA continues to foster innovation, leadership, and collaboration, with more celebratory events planned throughout the year.
