The HKMA 65th Anniversary Theme Year Summit 2025: Excellence • Innovation • Growth: Proud Stories of Hong Kong was successfully held on 28 August 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Theme Year Summit is one of the annual highlight events of the Theme Year featuring an exciting line-up of eminent speakers. Prof Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges GBS JP, Chief Executive Officer, The Hong Kong Jockey Club delivered an opening keynote speech while the closing keynote speech was delivered by Prof James Thompson GBS, Chairman and Founder, Crown Worldwide Holdings Limited.

In the Welcoming Address, Mr Elton Chan, Chairman of 2025 Theme Year Working Partyand Director of Jardine Matheson Limited said: “In the face of global geopolitical challenges and economic uncertainties, Hong Kong has demonstrated extraordinary resilience. The city is crafting inspiring stories of excellence and growth, paving the way for a vibrant new chapter filled with opportunities.”
