“Our Healthcare Management and Leadership MSc is a distinct programme bringing theory and practice together to enable managers and leaders to respond to the challenges that exist in healthcare settings. The multidisciplinary approach to teaching offers learning opportunities by experts from the School of Health and Wellbeing and Worcester Business School ensuring content is relevant to health systems and social care.Management and leadership in the health and social care sector is increasingly important both in the UK and worldwide, with the need for managers and leaders to have appropriate skills and knowledge (WHO, 2007). The course is designed for aspiring and existing managers and leaders providing a developmental route for health care professionals. It addresses the important factors influencing the management and leadership of both organisations and individuals. At Worcester taught elements of the course are delivered by a team of experts with content grounded in contemporary research and practice.”
Details
Students are required to achieve 180 credits for completing the programme, which consists of eight modules including a dissertation in 15,000 words. Each taught module will be delivered by the University of Worcester and local associate faculty. A supervisor will be assigned to students to maintain close contact with students and to provide professional advice.

Entry Qualifications
Applicants should hold:
- An honours degree at 2:2 level or above in a health-related subject; OR
- An honours degree at 2:2 level or above in business-related subject, and at least three-month working experience in a healthcare environment; OR
- Qualifications and experience considered to be equivalent to the above. All students applying via this route will be assessed and interviewed.
English Requirements
Applicants whose first language is not English will be expected to have reached a sufficient standard on admission to the programme (e.g. usually IELTS 6.5, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component, or equivalent), or previous post-secondary qualification where the medium of instruction was English.
