Application for Talent Development Fund


Since its establishment in 1960, the Association has the mission to nurture human capital through management education and training at all levels for developing talents for Hong Kong. As such, the Association has developed the Talent Development Fund for executives in financial needs to fulfil their aspiration in pursuing knowledge and upgrading qualifications. Fund will be awarded to young executives with less than five years of full-time employment and whose monthly income are $25,000 or below to study selected diploma and degree programmes.


Applicants may choose any one of the following HKMA programmes with the specified intake:

It is a matter of discretion for individual employers to recognize any qualification to which these courses may lead.


Admission is on a competitive and individual basis entirely at the discretion of the respective universities. Intake schedule, admission criteria and procedures are set by them and are subject to change without prior notice.


All applicants should satisfy the following criteria **:

  • Hong Kong residents
  • Non-degree or Bachelor’s degree holders
  • Monthly salary of HK$25,000 or below ***
  • Less than 5 years of full-time employment

** Applicants should also satisfy the admission criteria of the respective programme of their choice.

*** Applicants must submit income or salary proof. The Secretariat reserves the right to disqualify applications who do not submit relevant supporting documents.


All applicants are required to submit a write-up or video, on the following topic:

  • Your Future Plan for Career Advancement and Continuing Education

Content can be in English or Chinese. The write-up should contain at least 200 words while video should be 1-2 minutes.

Applications will be assessed on a competitive basis.

  2. Programme enrolment form (For Degree Programmes only)
  3. Write-up/ video on the proposed topic (please refer to “Criteria”)
  4. Photocopies of salary slip
  5. Recent photo
