Students will have the opportunity to study early childhood education in international contexts. The course combines knowledge about practical aspects of the early years curriculum with the opportunity to bring a theoretical understanding to help to deepen and challenge students’ thinking.

Participants can complete the programme in 1 year by completing four modules and one dissertation.

All modules are assessed through written continuous assessments.

Details
The programme is conducted through a block teaching mode, fully taught by the University of Huddersfield academic faculty. A supervisor will be assigned to students to maintain close contact with students and to provide professional advice. Students are required to achieve 180 credits for completing the programme, which consists of five modules including a dissertation in 12,500 – 15,000 words.

Academic Skills Tutors also provide guidance about how you can develop your academic skills in order to improve your grades. The tutors provide support with general academic skills including essay writing, time management, presentations and group work skills; information technology and numeracy; research skills, as well as personal development for example confidence building and assertiveness.

Admission Criteria
- Entry Qualifications
– An honours degree in a relevant subject at 2:2 or above; or
– A professional equivalent qualification.Applicants who do not hold an honours degree, but possess substantial relevant professional experience will be considered for admission on case-by-case basis. They may be required to participate in an interview.
- English Requirements
Applicants educated in a language other than English should have an IELTS overall band score of 6.0, with no element lower than 5.5 (or equivalent)
Programme Fees
Total fees for the whole programme are HK$96,500 to be collected in 5 instalments.
Students should note that all fees are subject to review and may be changed by the University.
