Overview
Many supervisors find it hard to lead, motivate and work with their team members to deliver the expected results. Often, it is because they found themselves in a leadership role without sufficient training and have to rely on “gut feel”, trials and errors derived from whatever limited experience they have to do the best they can. Their performance has a direct impact on company productivity, cost, and profitability and should not be underestimated, for their actions affect the frontline team members they lead. However, while team results come from the concerted efforts of all team members, however, it is the team leader or supervisor who provides the overall direction, planning, coordination, and management of the team. Knowing how to communicate, work and lead the team is, therefore, crucial.
