HKMA / ViuTV & Now TV Awards for Marketing Excellence 2023

The Awards for Marketing Excellence was established in 1985 and has grown in stature and popularity ever since. This year’s
Awards received a record number of competition entries, showcasing top quality, innovative marketing campaigns, with many
pushing the boundaries of marketing excellence. They are testament to the depth and genius of Hong Kong’s marketing industry,
and bodes well for the continuing success of our city’s business sector.

I am delighted and thankful that Professor Harry Shum, Council Chairman of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology,
has graciously accepted our invitation to be Guest of Honor at our Awards Ceremony and Dinner and will speak to us on AI, giving
us a rare opportunity to learn from a world-leading expert on this important subject and an indispensable marketing tool.

I would like to extend my warmest appreciation to all members of the Panel of Judges, the Board of Examiners, the Marketing
Management Committee and the newly-formed Chief Marketing Officer Committee, for their invaluable contributions in making
this year’s Awards another resounding success.

I especially wish to thank each member of the Awards Organizing Committee. As Committee Chairman, I am humbled by your
selfless dedication and proud of what we have accomplished together.

I am deeply grateful to our many generous Sponsors, without whose staunch support and generous contributions, this annual
Awards honouring our city’s brilliant Marketers would not be possible.

Last, but not least, I wish to thank the real stars of this event – all the organizations and individual Marketers who participated in
this year’s Awards competition. Thank you for sharing you excellent work, and allowing us to learn from you. I heartily congratulate
all Campaign and Individual winners. Thank you for inspiring us with your ground-breaking examples.
Let’s all aim higher, as we welcome a future of limitless possibilities.
