Course Trainer
Mr Simon Tam, Principal Consultant & Marketing Director GBMC Hong Kong, PMP
Mr. Simon Tam is a Principal Consultant at Global Business Management Consultants where he is also the Marketing Director in Hong Kong. With more than 20 years of experience with financial institutions and Multi-National Companies (MNC) e.g. Li& Fung Limited, Morgan Stanley, BNP Paribas, Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), CB Richard Ellis Asia Pacific, AXA China Region Limited, DHL (HK) Limited, Unilever and Cathay Pacific Airways Limited, he is uniquely qualified in all aspects of business management and project management experience across various industries.
During the capacity in working in AXA in the regional office, Simon Tam has been leading major IT transformation program across 8 Asia Countries on the procurement and sourcing work stream. Projects include legacy platform migration, workflow and imaging projects, claim processing projects, channel management projects etc. He has proactively assisted the project gap between the business requirements, IT technical requirements as well as the third-party supplier delivery. Simon had managed virtual team across multiple offices in Asia.
Simon Tam has been providing project management training and other types of training e.g. procurement, logistics to tertiary education organizations locally e.g. University of Hong Kong & the City University. Besides, Simon Tam is proactively selling and delivering in-house training programs in Hong Kong through past participants enrolling into the public programs with Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA). The list of programs including PMP preparation class, agile project management, project risk management training etc. As a result, number of international firms had chosen Simon Tam as the trainer of the project management training service provider Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA), Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), AstraZeneca, CSL, Chow Tai Fook, FMC, FedEx, Infineon, MetLife, Modern Terminal Limited, Da Cha Bay Limited, Disneyland, Eurogroup Hong Kong, Sino Land, SmarTone and Zama just to name few examples.
Simon has facilitated and led many in-company workshops to build up cross functional project team working. He had recently delivered an online/F2F hybrid Agile project management training targeted at both executives as well as project managers which are well-received and lead to subsequent Agile implementation.
